The Journal of Comments and Replications in Economics (JCRE) is hosting a special issue dedicated to rigorous replications of high-quality empirical research on Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES). Submissions are open on a rolling basis through January 31, 2027.
We especially welcome PhD students and early career researchers — no PES domain expertise required, just strong applied econometrics skills. Benefits include a peer-reviewed publication with fast-track review, and a chance to contribute to the growing replication science movement in economics. A replication packet will be provided.
Get started:
— Full details, replication protocol, and the candidate paper list can be found here: → jcr-econ.org/special-issues
— Templates, instructions, and example materials can be found here: → github.com/mcwayrm/jcre-pes
Interested? Contact Ryan McWay (mcway005@umn.edu) to indicate (or discuss) which article from the candidate list you’d like to replicate.
On behalf of the JCRE editorial team:
W. Robert Reed, Editor-in-Chief
Marianne Saam, Editor
Jan Marcus, Editor
and the Special Issue Guest Editors:
Ryan McWay, University of Minnesota
Justin Johnson, University of Minnesota
Jay Coggins, University of Minnesota
